Hi, I'm Shorty.

I started skating in 2009, and roller derby very quickly became a much bigger part of my life than I ever expected.

Since then, skating has taken me around Australia and across the world. I've trained and competed with leagues including Canberra Roller Derby League, Sun State Roller Derby and Gotham Roller Derby in New York, represented internationally, and spent a lot of time learning from different skaters, coaches and ways of playing the game.

Somewhere along the way, I started coaching too. What began with roller derby has grown into park skating and general skate skills, and I've found that I love figuring out how to make a skill make sense to someone else just as much as learning it myself.

Skating has also taken me into travel, filming and creating Shorty's Skate Series on YouTube. It has changed a lot since I first put skates on, but I'm still learning, still skating and still finding new things I want to try.
